Victorian Children's Hand Knit Colorful Chevron Striped Girls Petticoat Skirt
This antique Victorian era children's hand knit colorful chevron striped girls petticoat skirt dates from 1890. It is made of a multi color hand knit wool scalloped striped chevron pattern design. This charming child's girls winter petticoat skirt has a red cotton peplum waist, white cotton waistband with buttonhole, an open back with no closure and is unlined. The skirt measures 17 inches long, with a 21 inch waist and 34 inch hips. It is in good as-is condition, with several small frayed holes on the knit fabric (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana children's knitwear wearable art!
