Vintage Phyllis Baby Wear 4 Piece White Christening Gown in original box

Description

This is a used vintage Phyllis Baby Wear white christening gown in very good condition.  The Christening piece consists of 4 parts.  We start with the underslip, which is sleeveless and measures 10 1/2" from underarm to underarm and is 21 1/2" long.  The hem on the slip has a lace trim.  The dress is probably a sheer chiffon or nylon with 4 1/2 embroidered white flowers on the front yoke and a beautiful embroidered skirt with a scalloped hem.  The measurements on the dress are 10 3/4" flat across and measures 24 1/2" long.  The dress has short sleeves and the sleeves have a lace trim.  The neckline also has a lace trim.  The overcoat is lined in the same fabric as the slip.  The upper part of the overcoat is sheer nylon or chiffon.  The overcoat has short sleeves and are edged in lace.  There is a lace trim that travels around the opening of the overcoat and around the neckline.  The overcoat has an embroidered floral yoke plus there is a small copper cross pin attached at the neckline.  There is also a plastic snap at the neck and at the waist.  There is a white satin ribbon at the edge of the yoke.  The lining has a large lace trim.  The overcoat is also embroidered with white flowers and has a scalloped edge.  The measurements are 10" flat across and from shoulder to hem it measures 25".  The baby hat has 2 rows of gathered lace around the brim and lace around the back of the hat.  The cap is lined and has beautiful embroidered roses.  The hat is fully lined and has wide satin ribbons.  The hat measures approximately 7 1/2" on the back of the hat.  This is just a beautiful Christening outfit.  Please view photos for a better description.
